Arthur is a partner in the Highbrook office specialising in property and construction law. He has been a trusted legal advisor of local authorities, government agencies, infrastructure and utility providers, institutional property investors and developers, listed and private companies, trusts, individuals and funders, in the buying and selling of property, property development (including subdivision and construction) and commercial leasing. Arthur also has extensive experience in construction and infrastructure projects including preparing, evaluating and negotiating tender and construction documentation, consultancy agreements and providing contract administration advice.
Before joining Wynyard Wood, Arthur was a partner for four years at a large New Zealand law firm and before that, a senior associate in one of New Zealand’s top commercial firms.
From 2001 to 2006, Arthur practiced in Singapore and was first a member of the Projects and Infrastructure Group of a large Singapore law firm and later joined the International Arbitration Team of the Singapore office of a large American law firm. During this time, Arthur undertook both front end and back end legal work on construction and other commercial transactions.
Arthur grew up in Howick and now lives in Totara Park with his young family. When time permits, he enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly on his mountain bike and supersports motorcycle. He is also an avid Lego builder and collector.
